Lapa takes an important part of Rio`s history. Along the years the area was abandoned and new modern buildings started to surround it until few years ago when it was finally rediscovered. A great work of restoration is recovering the old Bohemian area of Rio with its original atmosphere. We present Lapa as the best area for local music and dance. You`ll see mostly locals meeting in Lapa to celebrate local culture. The most popular rhythms listened today in the area are ''bossa nova, chorinho, partido alto''.
