The FD Salvador tour includes a panoramic and a historic part. You will see the lighthouse of Barra, Porto da Barra, the sophisticated district of Vitoria and Campo Grande. In the historic Centre called Pelourinho we will walk for 2 hours. After lunch, we will see St. Antonio além do Carmo, Ribeira, and the famous Bonfim Church. Optional is a visit of the local market of São Joaquim. A panoramic view from the Mont Serrat Fortress will enclose a beautiful day.

The National Park was created in 1985. It attracts a growing number of ecotourists. This scenery mountain range includes mountains, valleys, monoliths, caves, rivers and waterfalls. There are so many things to see, that it will be better to get in contact to see your special needs, to get a really personalized tour. Here´s a proposal for a 5 day trip:
1st day - Leaving Salvador early in the morning. We will arrive at Andaraí at 2 p.m. to visit the village and continue to the beautifull former mining spot of Igatú, with an intriguing set of ruins from the diamind era and earlier.
2nd day - Poço Encantado - Enchanted Pool with incredibly blue water and Poço Azul where you can dive in the clear blue water. Morro do Pai Inácio: from where you have a spectacular vue to the valley and sunset
3rd day - Vale do Capao and Cachoeira da Fumaça - the highest waterfall of Brazil is so high that the water never hits the ground. It vaporizes in the air by the force of the wind.
4th day - Cachoeira do Sossego - a beautiful Waterfall with a deep pool at its base and rock ledges for diving 3hs walking from Lençoís or - The caverns of Lapa Doce and Pratinha - a must for cave enthusiasts.
5th day return to Salvador

On our way to Praia do Forte we will stop at Arembepe Beach. It was one of Brazil´s hip beaches in the 1960´s. Mick Jagger and Janis Joplin came here and many local and foreign hippies followed. Then we continue to Praia do Forte, which has fantastic beaches and the sea turtle reserve Projeto Tamar.
It´s goal is to reverse the process of extinction of the five species of sea turtles in Brazil.
An optional visit in the afternoon could be the a beautiful castle fortress: an aquamarine ocean-view plot studded with palm trees an a hill.
