Siem Reap Classic Tour 3 Days
Day 1:
Morning, pick up from the hotel of airport to visit Angkor, the largest religious structure in the world. We will spend about 2 hours or more to visit this amazing temple before heading back to hotel for a noon break to avoid the heat.
2.30pm, depart from the hotel to visit the largest and last city of the Khmer Empire, Angkor Thom, covering the area of 12 square kilometers. The tour starts at South Gate for an great view of the moat and wall with the amazing photo of the giant faces of the gate. Jump in a car or tuk-tuk for a short drive to Baphuon, currently restored temple, and walk through to Royal Enclosure where Phimean Akas center in, walk to Elephant and Leper King Terrace.
Short drive to another main highlight temple of the day, the Bayon temple to enjoy the quietness while everyone else left to the earlier sites, we jut visited. Soft light of the sun will provide you the best feeling with a lovely contrast of the giant faces.
Day 2:
Early morning at 5.00am, depart the hotel for a dawn breaking at Angkor Wat where the beautiful reflection of the temple and its dramatic firy background exposes. Back to hotel for breakfast, continue to visit an amazing temple of Preah Khan and a very different one, Neak Pean. Lunch break to avoid the heat.
3.00pm, depart the hotel to visit a small temple of Chaosay Tevoda, found by Suryavarman II, the same period as Angkor Wat. Continue to a pyramid Ta Keo and finish at a famous temple of Ta Prohm.
Day 3:
After breakfast, depart South of Siem Reap town via villages to visit the great lake where hundred of Cambodian families lives. Floating houses on bamboo raft and boat provides you the best exploration on a fresh air boat trip. A short visit to the handicraft workshop on the way back will remind you the artistic skills of the Khmer during the great Empire.
3.00pm, depart the hotel to drive North of Siem Reap for an hour to visit the most beautiful temple of Banteay Srei.
