Guided tour #1: Cooking class and more

Duration : 1 day
Level : easy Easy
At last also Rome has its own cooking class.
One of our bilingual drivers will come to pick you up from the lobby of your hotel at a previusly agreed meeting time.
We have created this spectacular cooking class tour in collaboration with a well known Roman restaurant.
Only a few minutes from the Vatican, but not in the normal turist centre of the city, this restaurant normally serves local residents and has a large and luminous dining room and kitchen.
The chef, Daniela, owner of the restaurant with Valeria, will welcome her guests and conduct the lessons in perfect English. She will be teaching different recipes during the lesson.
First of all you will learn to make different kinds of bread.
Then Daniela will show you how to make ''gnocchi di patate'' from scratch, with different kinds of sauces, followed by the popular Roman dish ''Ox tail'' with celery. Remember that this is just a basic menu that you will work on, but for particular requests or tastes we can even change the dishes at your own pleasure. The important thing is that all dishes are easy to cook, true Roman ones and mainly the ingridients that you are going to use in your cooking section can be found also overseas.
As you can immagine these are the main dishes of the Roman kitchen.
Last but not least, you will be shown how to make some of the best known desserts of the Italian cuisine.
The top of the list will be '' Tiramisù ''.
When the lesson finishes, around two and a half hours, Valeria will take you into the dining area and you will be served the food that you have just prepared.
This is probably the first cooking class of its kind and therefore we are proud to be able to offer this service to you hoping it will be to your liking.

POSSIBLE COMBINATIONS:

1. Cooking class in the morning and guided tour of the Vatican in the afternoon

2. Cooking class in the late afternoon, followed by night tour of Rome

3. Bare cooking Class

Guided tour #2: day trip trip to Civita di Bagnoregio and Orvieto

Duration : 1 day
Level : easy Easy
This is a kind of tour that you can personally design.
Our Driver will be waiting for you at the lobby of your hotel ready to depart.
After 1 hour drive we will arrive in Orvieto, a gorgeous medieval small town, famous for its Cathedral. In 1263-64 a Boemian priest, Peter from Prague, went to Rome to better understand the miracle of Transubstantiation.
Coming back from Rome, he stopped in Bolsena to celebrate a mass and he saw some blood stilling from the Holy Host. The Pope Urbano IV was in Orvieto that period and decided to transfer the Holy Linen from Bolsena to Orvieto.
He decided also to create the ''Corpus Domini'' day, one of the most important day of Christianity. The day 13th of November 1290 Pope Nicolò IV put the first stone of the new church. The works continued for about three centuries and the first architect was Arnolfo di Cambio.
The interior of the cathedral is simple and austere. To the transept is located a wonderful organ, one of the biggest in Italy.
The most important work of art of the cathedral is the reliquary of the Holy Linen of Bolsena. There are also decorations of the miracle of Bolsena and life of Christ.
The town is also famous for its colourful ceramics and its crisp white wine.
This tour allows you to explore 3000 years of history by following the ancient passageways, tunnels, stairs and hidden rooms.
Another important stop is St. Patrick's well. Built on the orders of Pope Clement VII who sought refuge here during the sacking of Rome, this 203 feet deep well boasts double spiralled staircases for easier access to the water.
After the first part of the day spent in this enchanting location, you will be' driver then towards Civita Di Bagnoreggio, a miracle of the Nature.
With only 25-50 inhabitants it resembles a ghost town. Here you can stroll the narrow streets and marvel at the existence of a place where time stopped several hundreds of years ago.
On the return to Civitavecchia stop and view a spectacular panoram

Guided tour #3: Best of Rome

Duration : 1 day
Level : easy Easy
This service is simply magnificent. It allows you to have a complete and general overview of our entire City. With our comfortable and brand new cars/minivans you will have the possibility of being driven where big busses cannot go by low. In this way you will really see more, walk definitely less and enjoy it all!!
The tour normally starts at 08.00 a.m. from your accommodation in Rome where one of our English Speaking drivers will be waiting for you at the lobby.
From there the tour will start.
Remember that all our tours are flexible so it is very easy - if you already have places that you want to see - to agree with our driver which spots to be manly concentrated on.
Anyway what we normally do is driving you to the main spots in town. Getting first to the real heart of the city where you will be surely impressed by the outstanding white monument dedicated to the first King of Italy (Victor Emanuel II of Savoy's Monument) the so called ''Wedding Cake'' because of its shape and its white colour, the tour will continue heading for the most ancient part of the city. Indeed after driven past the enchanting Roman and Imperial Forums it will be time for the visit to the Colosseum, the largest and most imposing amphitheatre ever built for entertainment purposes of the time. We are talking about the place that throughout the entire Roman History could gather more than 70.000 spectators at once to assist at the daily gladiator shows held on its arena. During this first part of the day there will be also time for the Trevi Fountain where to toss the famous coin that - according to the legend - will make you come back to Rome
and the Spanish Steps (main Roman shopping district) or the Pantheon (a great example of Roman temple, the famous and gigantic Temple dedicated to all the gods of the Olympus.
Given that you will not see the Vatican here the day will be completed with a visit to' Piazza Navona, where you ll surely be amazed by Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers
