The Capital of the Netherlands, is a city of more than 100 monuments and many canal houses - most of them date back to the 16th and 17th century.
Let us take you on a guided tour by private van, bus or on foot, visit with us the Rijks Museum to see the paintings of the famous 17th century Dutch masters such as: Rembrandt-Vermeer-Frans Hals etc., or the Van Gogh Museum.

A historic walking tour in Amsterdam
A 3 hours walking tour through the main highlights of the city with different stops for pictures, at the Dam Square, the Beguinage, the Floating Flower Market, the Skinny Bridge, the Jewish Quarter with the 17th Century Portuguese Synagogue, the Red light District (if you wish) etc. Stopping at a Diamond Cutter’s is possible.

This special itinerary is only available in the spring when the famous Tulips of Holland are blooming. After meeting your private licensed guide you depart for the Keukenhof Gardens at Lisse. En route you see many scenic roads, dikes and many photo stops!
Once you arrive at Keukenhof, you will enjoy the 70 acre park which consists of gardens and greenhouses dedicated solely to Tulips. Nowhere else in the world are the flowers and colours of the spring as glorious as at Keukenhof. Alkmaar Cheese Market and Zaanse Schans (this tour is only on Friday mornings!)
After meeting your private licensed guide you will drive to Alkmaar, a very picturesque old city where they have the famous Cheese Market every Friday morning. After watching how they sell the cheese, we shall have a nice walking tour in Alkmaar. A nice place for lunch and some free time.
Continue your tour to the Zaanse Schans, the Windmill Village. This open-air museum was created to save traditional windmills from destruction when industrialization began. Here you can visit many handicrafts such as: a wooden-shoemaker, see how they make them – a cheese-farm where you will have a demonstration about how they make cheese & sample different kind of cheeses e.g. cow – goat- sheep milk and especially the well known Gouda & Edam cheese – see a Delft Blue painter at work – visit a diamond cutter and see how they make those 57 facets!
Enjoy a walking tour among the different types of windmills plus see 44 wooden houses that date from the 17th and 18th century. You have the opportunity to enter a windmill and see how it works. Return to Amsterdam later this afternoon.

Via a very scenic road we shall drive to Delft. After a short walking tour we shall continue to Delft. First we shall visit the famous Royal Delft Pottery Factory where we shall have a guided tour through its museum, see the painters at work and the factory. You may paint your own tile or vase, if you wish (costs 40 euro p.p.) Then continue your tour with your guide and stop at its city centre. Here we will have a historic walking tour. This tour combines a visit to the charming waterside villages of Marken & Volendam which is known for its traditional Dutch customs and Edam which is famous for its cheese. A delightful itinerary for those who prefer the countryside.
Meet and greet your private driver/guide then depart on a scenic drive through the countryside passing dikes, rivers and locks and a windmill. We shall drive to different typical Dutch Fishermen Villages.
Your first stop will be at Marken, which used to be an island. A very small en picturesque village. Their first wooden houses were built in the 13th Century on artificial hills in order to keep their feet dry during the floods. After a walking tour we shall continue to Volendam. On the way you shall stop at a Cheese & Clog Farm – sample some of their many cheeses and see the farmers who still wear their traditional costumes.
You arrive in Volendam, another picturesque village where you can sample a specialty, smoked eel. Perhaps you would like to see a diamond cutter, or have your photo taken in a traditional costume. These are the possibilities in Volendam. While you are here you also have time for lunch.

Upon arrival you enjoy a walking tour in the gardens of the Beguinage where most of the houses date to the 17th century. You also see the Minnewater or Lake of Love which was once an inland port. You will admire the Gothic Revival the House of a Lockkeeper, the graceful swans in the lake.
Next is a stop to sample some of the Belgian Chocolates which are famous around the world. You may think you have tasted them before, but fresh chocolates are much better than boxed.
Now that your sweat tooth has been satisfied you will fill your mind with beautiful images in the Market Square which is filled with Gothic Revival buildings, a 250 foot tall bell tower, the famous Burg, rows of stepped facades and outdoor cafes serving Belgian specialties and beer.
