Guided tour #1: The Royal Route of Warsaw

Duration : 1 day
Level : easy Easy
Duration: approx. whole day
risk of death: none
risk of not wanting to leave Warsaw anymore: very high

This walking tour allows you to explore the oldest part of the Polish capital and its best known attractions: before World War II Warsaw was nicknamed “Paris of the North”, however, according to a number of experts it is Paris that should bear the name of “Warsaw of the West”. You will get acquainted with the Old Town, including the Castle Square, the king’s Sigismund's Column, the churches, the multicolored houses, the Market Square... You will also discover the neighbouring district – New Town, whose only “new” feature is the first word of its name.

Next, you will take a walk along the Cracow Suburb, which was once the access way to the city and today, owing to its charm and historical buildings (e.g. the Presidential Palace, the University, the Chopin Family Apartment) the street is one of the favourite walking areas for locals and tourists. Then, we will take bus (public transport) to Łazienki, which is the largest city park and comprises a complex of royal residential buildings of the last Poland’s king, S.A. Poniatowski. At the end, we will take bus to Wilanów, a district primarily famous for its baroque royal palace, frequently compared to the one of Versailles.

Of course, all tour can be customized to suit your interests. I offer not only whole day tours, but also shorter sightseeing (e.g. 2, 4 hours) or programmes for those, who wish to spend many interesting days in Warsaw. There is a possibility of taking traditional Polish meal during or after the tour, as well as the possibility of tasting of Polish must-drinks: beer and vodkas!
