Day 1: Visit the jewish quarter, the synagogue and a 500 year old blacksmith workshop at Castelo de Vide.Stop at Portagem . Visit the castle in Marvão . Drive to Valência de Alcântara in Spain to visit the former jewish section and the synagogue. Accommodation at Marvão or Castelo de Vide.
Day 2 :Is best on a friday so you can join the local community for Cabalat Shabat and dinner.Visit the Jewish Museum in Belmonte.Visit the brand new synagogue in the jewish quarter of Trancoso , the Friday market and meet a local historian for a short conference.Go look for mezzuzot marks.Aristides Sousa Mendes Memorial .Visit to a kosher cheese production centre.Accommodation at Belmonte or Trancoso.

Day 1 : Leave Lisbon heading south ; stop at the Christ the King Monument just across the 25th of April Bridge.Enter the Setúbal and Azeitão Muscatel and Table Wine Region featuring : rice fields, dolphins swimming in the Sado Estuary ,birdwatching in its wetlands ,the breath taking views from the top of the Arrábida Mountain, white sandy beaches , mediaeval castles in Palmela and Sesimbra … sheep milk cheeses and fried cuttlefish.

Day 3 : One more half day in the Alentejo Wine Region to visit the Lusitano horse breeding center and the walled village Marvão located at an altitude of 900m.Then drive further north to the typical “stone village “ Monsanto . Suggested menu : lam and goat.

Day 4 : Visit the local Jewish Museum , the Synagogue and the Olive Oil museum ; Kosher wine tasting produced in the Beira Wine Region.Drive further north to Castelo Rodrigo .We finally reach the Douro river and Nature Park enjoying the most beautiful of the portuguese wine regions , the Douro Wine Region , Unesco ‘s Heritage Nature Site :

The codfish festivals are a must in Portugal in august and november as well as the visit to old fishing boats. At Easter Time we will join the codfish ''funeral'' ! Join the cherries,apples,grapes,almonds ,mushrooms and chestnuts picking ,the cheese production(kosher as well!),taste the olive oil ,the wine (kosher as well!)goat , sausages, smoked ham,suckling pig,sardines,seafood,snails,capons,chocolate,pastries.Unforgetable typical festivals,cooking shows, culture and history.
