Dear Sir or Madam,

Please permit me to introduce myself. My name is Jagath Wijesiri. I live in Kandy, in the Sri Lanka’s Hill Country. I am fully accredited as a National Tourist Guide Lecture by Sri Lanka Tourist Board (license number N-1104.) I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, completed at University of Peradeniya , Sri Lanka . I have been successfully engaged in the travel business for nine years.

I am will be pleased to organize any and all travel arrangements on your behalf to take away any ‘worries’ out of your trip. Showing you my country in a safe, clean, air-conditioned, fully insured van is important to me. My van has lots of room to carry luggage but also to stretch out and enjoy the scenery. I also have a very comfortable air conditioned car for shorter excursions or solo travelers.

If you have already some ideas of where you would like to go and places to visit, I can help plan the timing of your stays given the road conditions and the various activities you are able to do along the
way.

In addition to these destinations within Sri Lanka, I am able to accommodate any special interests you may have.

• Nature / Wildlife – we have many National Parks including one that you may see a leopard. I am able to take you to some of our spectacular wilderness regions.

• If Buddhism is of special interest to you, I am Steward of Venerable Bhikku Sumedha Maha Thera and am able to set up an itinerary that will take you to key Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka.

• History – we have a long and involved history to explore from 3BC to contemporary times. We are able to explore old ruins of the Ancient Cities or the
ramparts of our forted city of Galle. As a sociologists I can tell you of our history and culture from ancient to contemporary times

• Food – our food is diverse and I am able to show you and allow you to explore the many delights of our cuisine.

• There are a lot of activities available to you in Sri Lanka. Listed below are some you may want to consider:

I am able to organize everything for you (accommodation, entry passes and other forms of transport eg. train from Nuwaya Eliya to Ella) if you have not already organized these. I am able to make reservations for you in any style of accommodation you may wish, guest houses or 5 star hotels/resorts.

One service I am happy to offer is to meet and greet you at the airport upon your arrival. I am able to then take you to your first night’s accommodation taking away the worry of transport when you arrive.
