Guided tour #1: Elephant Safari

We start the tour with travelling about one hour from Chaing Mai to Maetaman Elephant Camp, where is around 60 kms north of the city. After arriving at the camp you will see elephants bathing in the Mae Taeng River then you will see elephant show for about 30 minutes. After the show it is time to go elephant riding. Elephants will take you up the hills, cross the river, go into the forest and drop you off at Lisu village. At the village you can see lifestyle of the hill tribe of northern Thailand and can buy souvenirs made by them before riding ox cart back to the camp. After lunch you will enjoy 45 minutes bamboo rafting on the Mae Taeng River with beautiful scenery along the river. After that we will visit an orchid farm and then return to Chiang Mai. (There is an optional tour to visit Tiger Kingdom on this tour.)
