Guided tour #1: HIGHLIGHTS OF WESTERN COAST

Day 1 Arrival Day
I will transfer you to your hotel in İstanbul

Day 2 Istanbul Old City Tour
Half day guided tour in İstanbul where we visit the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the underground Basilica Cistern. You will have a free afternoon to explore the historic areas in İstanbul.

Day 3 Istanbul - Gallipoli - Canakkale
In the morning we drive to Gallipoli. After having lunch, we visit the Anzac and Turkish memorials and battlefields of the first world war. Overnight in Çanakkale.

Day 4 Canakkale - Troy - Assos
A short drive takes us to the legendary ancient city of “Troy”. After visiting Troy we drive to Assos where we stay at an old Caravansaray (an ancient hotel for caravans).

Day 5 Assos - Pergamon - Selçuk
Today we drive to Selçuk. On the way we have a stop to visit the ancient city of Pergamon.

Day 6 Ephesus
Visit the magnificient ancient city of Ephesus an a free afternoon offers many options.

Day 7 Selcuk - Istanbul
Flight to Istanbul in the morning and free afternoon to explore the market area in İstanbul.

Day 8 Tour ends

Guided tour #2: TREASURES OF LYCIA AND IONIA

Day 1 Arrival Day
I will transfer you to your hotel in Selçuk which is a cozy town nearby the ancient city of Ephesus.

Day 2 Ephesus Tour
We will have a tour of Ephesus which will be the highlight of our trip. We will spend at least half a day wandering around the marble streets of this huge Greco-Roman city, once visited by Anthony and Cleopatra and where St Paul preached to the ancient Ephesians.

Day 3 Selçuk - Pamukkale
Today we head to the Pamukkale 'Frozen Waterfall' which is one of Turkey's natural wonders. We'll have the chance to enjoy a dip in the hot mineral waters of this ancient 'spa' before checking into our hotel.

Day 4 Pamukkale - Fethiye
We drive to Fethiye which was called as Telmesos in ancient times. Today you can swim at Olu Deniz, which is a lagoon that was chosen as the Best Beach in the world in 2006.

Day 5 Fethiye - Dalyan
After a short drive we arrive in Dalyan, which is home to a loggerhead turtle sanctuary.

Day 6 Dalyan Tour
From picturesque Dalyan we take a meandering boat trip through a maze of reeds to the ancient city of Caunus and beyond to the beautiful Iztuzu Beach.

Day 7 Dalyan - Kusadası
Today we drive to Kuşadası from Dalyan and on the way we stop to explore Didyma, dedicated to Apollo, and the scattered remnants of Miletus and Priene before arriving at our hotel in Kuşadasi.

Day 8 Tour ends
I will transfer you back to the airport after breakfast.

The sacred House of the Virgin Mary where Mary had spent her last days, declared by Pope John-Paul II in the 1980s as a pilgrimage place for Christians.
The Basilica of St. John where it is believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and was buried in the southern slope of Ayasuluk Hill.
